Historical fiction about Thomas Jefferson or Betsy Ross?

I'm covering American history this year using I Love America for 4-7 y.o. as a base, and adding in titles. I Love America schedules one person to study each month, and I'm wanting to add a read-aloud novel involving each person each month. I'm stuck however on Thomas Jefferson and Betsy Ross/American flag. Anyone know of some good read-aloud fiction on either of these?

 

Just for reference here is what I've got scheduled already:

 

George Washington - Cinnabar, the one o'clock fox

Federalism/The Constitution - Skyrockets for the President

Benjamin Franklin - Ben and Me

Native American encounters - Small Wolf, Good Hunting Blue Sky

We have a book from the seventies that you might be able to find in a library -- Grand Papa and Ellen Aroon, by F. N. Monjo -- which is told from the point of view of Jefferson's granddaughter.

 

For Betsy Ross, what about Betsy Ross: Patriot of Philadelphia? You can preview some chapters here:
