Jennifer in MI
It was a BIG surprise! The two youngest wrote letters and sent them out a couple weeks ago. The only thing the envelope said was, "Santa". No stamp or anything. Today, we got two letters addressed to our youngest kids. The return address was the North Pole!!! It was SO cute and sweet. I'm loving the Post Office today!! My dd3 was SO happy!!
athena1277
How cool! I never mailed dd's letter because I thought they had quit doing the replies. Guess they haven't. :001_smile:
KJB
I used to live right next to North Pole, Alaska where letters to Santa are sent and answered. Their light posts are candy cane striped and they are decorated for Christmas all year. There is also a gigantic Santa statue to welcome you to the town. The post office has volunteers to answer letters. http://www.newsminer.com/pages/full_story/push?article--Dear+Santa-+letters+return+to+North+Pole+after+postmaster+general+reverses+decision%20&id=4666479 There is a Christmas shop there where the letters are delivered and the place is wallpapered with them. The letters are so sweet and fun to read. Santa's reindeer live there and are part of a small petting zoo. You can buy Christmas decorations year round and you can purchase a letter to be sent. http://www.santaclaushouse.com/
