Catherine
My 8 yo is learning piano. I'd love to have some nice piano music for us to listen to during school. The only piece that immediately comes to mind is Fur Elise. Any thoughts?
Harriet Vane
I love anything by George Winston. He is a modern composer, and his pieces are truly elegant, beautiful music, though he also performs music not written by him. My kids favorite album of his is called Linus and Lucy, in which he plays the music from the Peanuts cartoons and other works by that composer. His Christmas album is gorgeous, as are a series he did called Winter, Spring, etc. I also love Debussey.
KatieJ
Lori Line..an artist from Minnesota. We love her music! some of her CDs include her jazz orchestra and are more jazz than piano. Threads of Love is a favorite as well as Simply Grand. My son has many of her music books. As I was looking thru her website just now, I am reminded again of how much I dislike her "look", too much makeup, etc.. but she is really sweet in person. yes, we have met her on occasion. She really is encouraging to the young piano students. http://www.lorieline.com/index.asp?pageID=26 Suzanne Ciani is another artist that my son's first piano teacher told us about. You can find her on Amazon and listen to some samples. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000003M2T?tag=entrtainmentm-20&camp=15309&creative=331469&linkCode=st1&creativeASIN=B000003M2T&adid=1QAYCMMNWJ677FE676X0
TraciWA
We love listening to classical/ piano music during school. We check a couple cds out a week at the library. That way your not committed to one by spending money on it.
