jenL
It looks great!!!! I really love the cork floor - we've started looking into them for our house. For where you used to have the closet doors, what if you put up a tension shower curtain rod and created a nice curtain to cover that doorway? You could tie it back when things needed to be taken from there, and it would still make the room look nice.
greensummervillian
That's not a bad idea. Thanks.
Kathleen in VA
I was going to suggest the curtain thingy too.:) Btw, does the cork floor "give" a little so that it is easy on your joints? I'm just wondering if it is a little squishy so that it is easy on your legs and feet and such.
gandpsmommy
Your molding idea was quite clever; I never would have know if you hadn't explained it!
Amber in AUS
Kathleen cork does 'give' it will bounce plates :) We have loved our cork floors but you do need to take care with your furniture on them. To the OP your remodeled room looks great! It is so nice to start with a clean, organised area.
greensummervillian
Thanks! Yes, the floor does give, yet feels plenty solid. It's a quality I really appreciate as it's laid over a concrete slab! It absorbs sound well, and the wood is supposed to have natural oils that repel insects. It's a great floor for people with allergies. So far we have everything on felt pads and we haven't had any scratches. Of course it hasn't even been in a week yet, so we'll have to see how durable it is.

I hope to someday convert my garage into a real living area. It is on a concrete slab and I've often wondered how I'd do the floor. Thanks! Frontier Mom
Very nice!! And not cluttery. Amazing how cluttered my learning room gets when we start using it. Love that clean start.
