I could spend $40 for a set of Right Start card games for my 3rd grader. Or I could not...

She is in the middle of Singapore 3A, cruising right along till she bogged down with long division.

Are the Right Start card games too "young" for her math abilities, or would she still get plenty of use from them?

Or could they easily be replaced with other math game options (cards and dice)? Which ones do you recommend?

I also have a 6th grader if that makes any difference in your opinion.

Poll coming... and I'd appreciate your comments/reasons too.

ETA: I think one of dd's problems with long division is that she doesn't recognize how multiplication facts fit into the problem -- for example, if the problem is 39/4, she doesn't quickly think, "9x4 is 36, so I'll put 9 at the top of the frame." Instead, she ponders what to do, then gets frustrated. But if I ask her what 9x4 is, she will say 36. So I'm looking for something that will help with the facts, and also add some fun into her day. She doesn't like writing in workbooks.
