Crimson Wife
My oldest loves The Book of Virtues and Everyday Graces so I'd like to get her some similar books for Christmas. I'm planning on getting her The Moral Compass and was wondering if there are any others I should look at. FWIW, she's a very strong reader and typically chooses books aimed at a middle school audience. For example, she's currently reading the new The Mysterious Benedict Society novel. mom2abcd
Not exactly the same type, but Joe Wheeler has some fantastic stories in his books Great Stories Remembered (I, II, and III). He also has some books with neat Christmas stories. Very old-fashioned and wholesome. Many are heart-wrenching. I love them! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=Joe+wheeler+great+stories+remembered
monalisa
You might check what they have. Seems like when I was looking through their catalog recently I remember seeing some books along the lines you're referring to. I remember there was one called Princess Adelina or something like that that looked quite interesting. Here's their web address http://www.visionforum.com Most of their books are Christian by the way.
Kareni
A Call to Character: Family Treasury of Stories, Poems, Plays, Proverbs, and Fables to Guide the Development of Values for You and Your Children might also fit the bill.
