Scuff
x-posting in hopes that someone knows! I got a Smart Gobe from the thrift store. Good find, it was only $10--so I thought! The pen was broken, so I couldn't test it. But I turned it on and it sounded like it worked. I bought a new pen for it and we've realized that some sensor or somehting is off. Like it asks for you to find Florida and it won't register as FL until you're far south in the ocean, almost to S. America. Can this be fixed, or did I just waste $15 and disappoint the kids? ETA: and can I just say, Grrrr. If something is broken, throw it away! Don't donate it to a store where someone is going to spend $ on it. Rebecca77
Ours wasn't detecting our pen the first time we tried it. There was something we had to do that we found under troubleshooting in our instructions, but I can't remember. You'll have to call Leapfrog or see if you can find the instructions online. sbgrace
I agree with Rebecca. You have to do something to orient the pen to the globe but I lost my instructions too. It does have new batteries, right? Ours gives wrong answers when the batteries are low. However, this sounds more like the globe needs set. Scuff
Oh thank you! I'll look at the site now. I was about to just chuck the thing.
