readwithem
It's all done by 2 year olds :)
Greta
That's funny -- I've always said that modern art looks like it was done by toddlers. Someone proved me right!
elw_miller
It was the ketchup. Perhaps he has one entitled "Reminiscences of Jackson Pollack". ;)
gandpsmommy
Something like this really doesn't deter me from still gravitating naturally to works of modern art. I love the bold colors and the abstractness. And, actually, I have adored my children's artwork so much that we have framed and displayed several paintings. One series we particularly liked was done in watercolors by our then one-year-old daughter. Right now I have two paintings by my 5 yo ds on our living room wall. They are bright, colorful, and the lines are squiggly with wonderful contours. To me they are evocative of so much, even if they didn't intentionally paint them to symbolize anything. They actually go well with the professional prints we have in our house by artists such as Gustav Klimt and Wassily Kandinsky (sp?). I think it's funny that people didn't know that the paintings were done by a two-year-old, but it doesn't devalue modern art for me in the least.
