Evergreen State Sue
We made reservations for the Great Wolf Lodge with the great homeschooler discount that was offered. Then my dh had shoulder surgery so he can't really participate. Then last night our dd came down with a bad cold and I feel the twinges of one coming on. That only leaves our ds to really enjoy this first time experience in their indoor water park. Our reservations are for tonight. It is a two hour drive there and I'm thinking the whole family is at risk for coming down with a cold being in a van and hotel room together. The next best rate and time we could go would be early December or early January - but even then it will be $100 more than today's rate. Am I making the right decision to stay home? I'm so disappointed. :001_unsure:
thescrappyhomeschooler
Sorry to say, but I don't think it's worth it to go if everyone's not feeling their best. You will enjoy it so much more when you're all healthy again. Bummer!
Jennifer in MI
I think I'd go. Of course, it depends on how bad the colds really are. But, if it's just a runny nose and sniffles, I'd be there! Fevers - I'd stay home. The humidity might help! And, the distraction may help all of you feel better. We had a GREAT time when we went! Evergreen State Sue
Thank you Lynne and Jennifer for responding. I ended up giving the reservation to my neighbor and she took my ds with two of her kids. The sickies stayed home and I'm sure my ds is enjoying the fun with a friend. Anita in NC
Can you even cancel and get your money back because I thought you had to cancel with 48 hours notice? Oops, I didn't see that you already gave your reservation away.
