gardening momma
I finally found a local source for a larger quantity of baking yeast--I usually buy the glass jars from my grocery store. These larger quantities come in a square-ish block, and I'm unfamiliar with using those. Do I just crumble it off the block, and then measure like normal? Can I crumble the whole block at once and then store it in a container in the fridge? I haven't bought it yet. I don't remember the brands available. I found it at GFS (Gordon Food Service). Miss Peregrine
It is vacuum sealed. Once you open it, it will look like the yeast you are used to.
