Night Elf
I really want to buy the beautiful Record of Time horizontal timeline book from Homeschool in the Woods. But what about the timeline figures they sell? The instructions say they are wall sized and would need to be reduced to 65% to fit in the binder. So I'm assuming I need to copy each page of figures? How do I shrink them? And I'd have to have them on cardstock for durability? My printer doesn't seem to be that sophisticated. The cd version is $75 and really is out of my price range at this time. So I was also looking at the Sonlight's Book of Time and figures. They have different levels of figures based on the cores. I really like the idea of the peel and stick but those seem to be for the younger ages. What is the difference between the figures for the different core levels? I need figures for Ancient History for History Odyssey Level 2. Can I buy the Record of Time from Homeshool in the Woods and the timeline figures from Sonlight? I just don't see me being able to reduce the other ones before dd11 can use them.
NancyNellen
Well, we have been using this for 2 years now without reducing the size. It's a bit squishy on some pages, but we haven't had to omit anything because of a lack of room.
Night Elf
Well, the answer is now moot! DH preferred I buy the Sonlight Book of Time and Core 6 figures. I'll have to pass on the beautiful Record of Time! But hey, just being able to do the timeline consistently will be good!
