We have had a bundle of rain this summer in New England, I am now barely weeding my garden and it is finally getting hot- really the temps have been in the 70s (rare) most of the summer. We are finally in the 80's, but all my plants are very small-some of them are doing better than others.

Should I Miracle Grow them or what? I always get to this point and give up?

I notice that many other gardens are not to much further along-

If you care about your soil, do not use Miracle Grow. You can read about it on organic gardening websites.

Ways to help during the cold. Fill plastic bottles with water glue cap on. Place them around the plants. The sun will heat up the water during the day and the heat will slowly radiate at night. Use floating row covers will help warm up under them. Put black plastic on the ground around the plants.
