Jean in Newcastle
Do you have a quiet time for your kids? We have one after lunch around 1 pm to 2 pm. It started as nap time but even when my kids outgrew naps we kept our quiet time. The kids can read, draw, play legos quietly and now that my kids are older they can even play quietly outside or go on the computer. The one rule is - no bothering Mom! The kids need the time away from me. And I need the time away from them. The reason I'm bringing this up is that this is the time when I read (and sometimes nap).
