trisharog
I am trying to figure out the easiest way to do a timeline with DS10. He is home only for this year which is TOG explorer to 1820(I think that is the the end of Year 3 unit 1) Because of he is home only one year I dont want to buy a timeline book that will be empty in the early year. I think this blank timeline page will serve us well. http://rainbowresource.com/product/Blank+Timeline+Templates+%28Set+of+10%29/011940/1227202989-1809535 Now I am trying to find the easiest way to fill it in. Homeschool in the woods has characters you can format to your size with the info on them. That looks good but a little time consuming to fomat and print(Ok I know this is sounding lazy but I want this to be reallllllly easy). I found these stickers: http://www.parthenongraphics.com/ First of all on the link that says it will tell you all of the image on the stickers and it only shows ancients so I dont know if what is in my time frame. I will email the company and try to find out. Does anyone else have an easy peasy way of doing this. I dont want to the the one that you do soley on the computer. trisharog
Actually the link I provided for the stickers is a little complicated. You have to hit order at the top of the page . It will go to a page that shows a link for templates in the middle of the page. After you see the template you can go 1/2 way down and there is a link for the stickers. MamaSheep
I don't know if this is the kind of thing you're looking for, but Sonlight carries the Homeschool In The Woods figures already formatted and printed out on peel-and-stick paper so you just have to cut them out, peel the backing off, and stick them on. http://www.sonlight.com/timeline-figures.html
trisharog
Thanks! I couldnt find a list of the names included in the stickers . Do you know if that exists? Thanks Trisha
MamaSheep
Thanks! I couldnt find a list of the names included in the stickers . Do you know if that exists? Thanks Trisha I don't know of a list for the ones included in the Sonlight stickers. I do gather they're a little different than the sets as they're sold on the Homeschool In The Woods website. The HITW website does have listings of the ones they have in those sets. What I've got is the CD set with all of the figures. I don't know if it's helpful to you or not, but one of the CDs has the individual pictures, but the other one has the figures laid out on pages by time period, as in the sets sold on the website. The pages look a lot like the ones on the Sonlight page as far as layout. You could easily get the disks, and then get some printable sticker paper from an office supply store, and print out your own sticker pages from the disks. The disks have all the figures on this list.

mom31257
Isn't that timeline from RR too big for a notebook, or you wanting to put it on a wall? I'm not familiar with the years TOG grace covers so I'm not sure how many years your are talking about. Here's a squidoo page on different types of timelines. http://www.squidoo.com/homeschooltimelines These are printable timeline pages for notebooks on the Donna Young website. http://www.donnayoung.org/history/timeline.htm We didn't do a timeline last year, but I'm going to start this school year, with a quick review of ancients by starting a timeline notebook, using the tl-5 format from the above site. I have this to generate some of the figures. http://www.geomatters.com/products/details.asp?ID=
