DIVE CD or Teaching Tape DVD for Saxon?

Has anyone used or can you recommend either the DIVE CD-ROM's or the Teaching Tape DVD's as a supplement to Saxon Math? We are beginning Saxon 5/4 this year and I was wondering if these supplements have been helpful for both the prep time in teaching the lesson as well as clearly presenting the lesson.

Thank you very much.

Ds used the DIVE 5/4 and 6/5 a few years ago, and while it wasn't the most exciting DVD to watch it got the job done.

Below are some links to this topic which you might find helpful:

Not pushing anything mind you, I'm still trying to decide myself which program to get.

This is a site which actually sells another option for Saxon from Alg. 1/2 up. This gentleman taught Saxon for 12 years in the classroom. His DVD, which costs the same as the DIVE, actually shows a warm, breathing human being as opposed to a white board with a magic wand.

If you scroll down to April 2008 he does a review of Saxon Teacher, DIVE, and, Teaching Tape. He did this review before his DVD came out. He recommends the programs in this order: Teaching Tape, DIVE, Saxon Teacher, and explains his reasoning in his review. Even if you're not interested in his DVD, I would read his review. For me it was very enlightening.

3rd post on this thread is a recommendation from someone on these boards who has used Teaching Tape.

Thank you for your feedback. That is good to know about the reviews. I will check out the links provided. And it's good to know if Saxon works for us, there will be another option when we get to Algebra.
