mamapjama
I'm hosting a Canada Day party here this year. I'd love ideas for fun kid related activities. We don't really have room here for fireworks. What have you done for the 1rst or 4th that was fun for the kids?
Amandamc0017
We make pretzel sticks for the 4th. You just purchase the pretzel rods, dip them in melted chocolate (I usually use the white almond bark). The kids then sprinkle them with 4th of July sprinkles. I just recently discovered that most bakeries will sell you a bowl of the holiday sprinkles at a great price.
mamapjama
That sounds fun :) I could use white chocolate for the whole stick and then dip the ends in red for the Can. flag. Thanks! Any other game or activity suggestions from the hive?
AuntieM
Okay, here's a radical watermelon eating contest. Each kid gets a same-sized slice of watermelon to see who can finish it first. The trick is, they have to lie on their stomachs and hold their hands together behind their backs (or tie with a soft bandanna). This activity goes well with a slip-n-slide or garden hose. :)
