TravelingChris
I posted this on the college sub=board but think more AD families might see this on this forum. I knew we were eligible to transfer GI bill benefits but I had no idea how much money it is. So far from what I have found it is anywhere between 22K and 70K a year. Obviously we will be looking more at the states where the payment is higher since colleges cost so much now. Only thing we need to do is make sure we can fund the youngest child's college too. But since she is thinking about engineering, I think it is easier to get scholarships for that. Type in GI Bill calculator and have the colleges zip code and you can check out how much money you can get.
BikeBookBread
I just heard this a few weeks ago, too! It is GREAT news!!!!! Now if they'll consider moving one car for a family when we PCS, I'll jump for joy. As it stands, they won't move vehicles, so we have to drive separately whenever we PCS. This is a HUGE burden! charmama4
WOW, great news!!! Thanks for the post. Also, I jsut found out that some community colleges offers 1 free 4 credit class a year for income eligible, which I'm sure most military families fall under this. Check it your local CC. Thanks again for the info on the GI bill.
