mom2agang
My daughter loves math and we were doing saxon 2. We just started. We did saxon last year so I know she was in the right level but in the last 3 days she did both work books. She knows what she learned. She knows reasoning behind problems. Do I buy saxon 3 and hope she doesn't fly through it. Or is there a harder program that would really make her stop and think?
TracyR
Well you could give Singapore math a try. It will definitely make her stop and think. Or if you like the way Saxon is set up you could give Christian Light Math a try. It works faster then Saxon does and this too will make her stop and think. Suzannah
I'd say just get the next book. She will get to a point where she needs to slow down and work, she just hasn't gotten there yet. I would only switch programs if there is a real problem, like concepts aren't sticking or you really can't stand the format. Saxon 3 will begin with review, as they all do, but will soon get into more complex ideas. Blessings!
