westcoastmom
I am using up the last of my funding from HS program and was going to order AP Book 1, but it is not in stock. They do have Book 2 and 3. Do these books need to be done in order? better done in order? or doesn't matter?
LeslieP
I would say best to do in order as the projects start with very basic components of art and what an artist sees and builds on it from there. Plus, the historical art references are in chronological order. Great series of books! My kids absolutely love them.

Sonlight probalby has Level 1 in stock, at least they did a couple weeks ago when I ordered from them, and I think their shipping is only $5. Given I just ordered it myself I don't have answers to your other questions. Heather
coffeefreak
We've done Books 1 and 2. I think it depends on the ages of your kids. If you have a K or 1st grader, Book 1 would be your best bet. If you have a 2nd or 3rd grader, you could easily start with 2 or 3. If you're following TWTM and you want ancient history, book 1 is your choice. We are skipping book 3 and doing book 1 for 4-6 graders next year. The books are loaded with information, and it took us three years to get through the two books. HTH! westcoastmom
I see a kit with a photo for $42, but it doesn't look like it includes the book. Did you get a different kit?
jabuford
You have to go to the artistic pursuits book page under art curriculum and they have a box down there to choose which one you are ordering. The kit is under the long list of items.
