Movie recommendation: Pearl Diver

Recommended Posts

I wanted to recommend a movie. It has some tense scenes, so adults, please watch before you pass on to your children. Also, for those sensitive to modesty issues, one of the women wore tank tops through most of the movie. I just wanted to cover all of the bases before recommending.

Oh, there's also Christian content, though I would not call the film "Christian-y."

I loved the movie!

It is not a "family" or "children's" movie, but it's clean. The topic is distressing.

I really don't like spoiling movies. When I ask my Dad what a movie is about, he tells me the ending. LOL

So, it is about two sisters who endure tragedy when little. They end up living in different places with different lifestyles. Another tragedy unites them, and a healing process begins.

I personally would not want to know more than that, and I feel like the cover gives too much info away. It was released in April 2008.

There appears to be a book (isn't there always ;)).

Oh okay, it's not the same one then. The one I saw was made probably in the early 80's and was about Greek divers who look for pearls and sponges.
