Shannon C
My dd is finally graduating from books like Frog and Toad, Amelia Bedelia, etc. and she seems to be really engaged by humorous books when reading to herself. Does anyone have any easy to read suggestions that are funny, but not full of toilet humor, interesting to a girl, etc? Also, does anyone have any opinions on any of the animal rescue type series--Animal Ark, etc? My dd is very into animals and I've thought about getting a few for her to start with. She has been a very reluctant reader so I'm okay if it's a bit formulaic right now. I just want her to read and enjoy.

TXMomof4
My girls both love the Mrs. Piggle Wiggle series. Also, the Ramona books are funny. Ralph S. Mouse, The Mouse and the Motorcycle - those are all fun books.
