laughing lioness
I dropped my oldest at the airport today for her 4th trip to Romania. She'll be working with gypsies and hopes to teach the kids some basic academic skills (like how to hold a pencil). If you'd like to keep up with her adventures she'll be posting pretty regularly at her blog http://blindlyservinghim.blogspot.com/
KJB
My Mom has lived in Bucharest for the past three years. She is getting ready to move in two weeks. She works for the state department at the embassy and is moving to a new post. She says this has been one of her best assignments. We went to visit last fall and had a great time. It's an interesting country with a beautiful countryside. If your daughter gets to travel, tell her to try and visit King Carol the first's summer palace in the Carpathian mountains. It is really beautiful. I hope your daughter has a terrific time!

Kathleen in VA
Lisa, Your post inspired an impromptu geography lesson here. We found Romania on the globe and read the World Book encyclopedia article about it out loud. What a beautiful country! Anyway, I subscribed to the blog and we will be praying for your daughter. Her heart for the lost is precious.

Rosie_0801
What an experience! What language will she be operating in? :) Rosie
laughing lioness
She'll be using mainly Romanian, but also Hungarian. She is learning Roma- it is based on Sanskrit so it's totally different (but then so is Hungarian:)). Most of the Gypsies know Romanian and even some English.
