First Start French or alternatives?

This just came in the mail.

 

I hate the CD! I don't know if it's a man speaking but it sounds like an effeminate man with a very feminine voice. Besides that there is no time to repeat, the speaker goes very quickly. It's weird because I have the PL and LC 1& 2 CDs from MP and they go very slowly. I'm suprised this is so different.

 

I really liked the way the lessons are set up and the material is presented.

 

1. If you are using how do you use it? Do you just keep playing the lesson again and again?

 

2. Do you know of a good alternative to introduce younger children to a language? We have used everything the library offers for children. I want to teach him a little more than numbers and colors this year.

Look at Écoutez, Parlez at Rainbowresource.com, you may not be able to hear the CD but we're very happy with it. We've covered colors and numbers too and this is working for us.
