I've read on several cloth diapering sites that you should not use Borax on your cloth diapers. I do think a lot of that depends on what type of diapers you are using. I think Borax is okay for prefolds, but pocket diapers tend to be finicky and can start repelling if you don't use a proper detergent.
I second the suggestion to check out Diaperswappers. You can get a wealth of information there about all things diaper related!

This is pretty close to where we are at. My lo is board by LHTH now. She wants me to read at least 5 days worth of material in one setting, and she is not all that fond of finger plays anymore. However she is not sitting still for the read aloud time in LHFHG since there are almost no pics. She is almost there though, and I am quite excited! She wanted to start the History for Lil Pilgrims book, but the first few pages about what history is put her off. I may skip those and come back to them later as it is very important. She just needs a little more concrete right now. ;) She is also reading cvc, and doing kinder math and writing. So it won't be long before we are doing LHFHG half speed. :D
Thanks for this. It helped confirm that I made the right decision in choosing LHFHG if your dd is getting bored with LHTH and is at the same level as my dd.

Do you mean bible memory work? I know HOD has bible memory verses in their curriculum. I'm not sure about the others.

I spent about $400 on curriculum for my dd this year. I bought way too many extra things that we really don't need though so once I sell them, it will be a little bit less.

I'm planning to use LHFHG with my just turned 4yo. We may take some of it a little slower since she's still pretty young, but we opted out of doing LHTH since she's already reading, writing, and doing kindergarten level math. I love the idea of LHTH for it's biblical content, but felt dd would get bored with it since it seems to focus on letters/sounds. I can't wait to do LHTH with my son when he gets a bit older though!

I can't speak for HWT, but we really like ARFH at our house. Dd enjoys the worksheets, and I prefer the look of the traditional letters.
ETA: One of the reasons I chose ARFH was because there are more resources available extra practice since it's a traditional print. My dd likes variety so I wanted that option to print more worksheets. I know I could make basic worksheets on my own using HWT special paper, but I didn't want to be limited and dd likes pretty pictures, etc. to keep her interested.

I know they did not have a % discount at our local HS fair. I'm not sure about the free shipping though.

We are really liking Horizons Math for kindergarten. Dd enjoys the colorful workbooks and the spiral approach seems to be good for her as she doesn't get bored. We started off with MUS and that was not a good fit for our dd at all because of the mastery approach and black & white worksheets.

I hate writing thank you notes as well. I usually only do so for more formal occasions such as wedding, shower gifts, baby gifts, etc. For my immediate family members, we either say thank you on the phone or in person. Thank you cards are usually never sent out or expected. On the other hand, my MIL sends out thank you gifts for every stinking little thing. I used to try to keep up and send thank you notes back, but I tired of it quickly and am on a strike now. I feel if we say thank you to in person when they give my kids a $1 kite then that's sufficient enough! I'm sure she thinks I'm a heathen, but I don't care :)
