  1. I borrowed this book from my sister, read the first few pages and couldn't seem to follow the storyline. I was really tired that night. I guess maybe I should try again since several people have mentioned it!
  2. That's just what happened to me when I had vertigo a couple years ago. I got out of bed in the morning to go to the bathroom and fell over. I found I could lie on my side comfortably, but I couldn't sit up at all and needed help standing. It happened every month for about four months, and each episode lasted about a week. My doctor blamed a persistent inner-ear infection. I used some motion-sickness patches, and that eased the spinning a bit, but the patches have their own side-effects -- blurry vision for one.
  3. Thanks for the reassurance, y'all. I'm new here, and I think I'm in information overload. Taking a deep breath now.
  4. We have been using Singapore for three years now, and I've never heard anyone say things are missing except drill. Can someone tell me where I can learn more about this, because now I'm starting to question a program I thought was working really well for my son! Yikes! We aren't required to test in Mississippi, so that is not a factor for us.
  5. I always check powells.com. They are more expensive than amazon for new books but often have used copies available. Shipping is free for orders over $50. Since they buy books, I try to build up my credit until I can make a big order all at once.
  6. "His Needs, Her Needs" by Dr. Willard Harley saved my marriage when my husband and I were going through a rough patch. I wish we had known about the book before we needed it, because it might have saved us a bunch of grief. I'll also echo "Power of a Praying Wife" mentioned above and "Power of a Praying Husband," too.
