[Windchill values in the -50C range next week]

Woke up to -20 actual temp without windchill with winter storm warnings for this noon till tomorrow. I can handle these temps better than extreme heat and humidity, just not acclimated to the high temps. They might delay school start times by an hour but usually don’t cancel.

I would move the piano to a corner of the large window at an angle.  Put the wooden chair next to it. Move loveseat to where piano is currently and make that a reading nook with table and lamp.  Have sofa opposite piano for balance open up the furniture more. I think rugs and tables would look nice.

The last time I needed to replace baking sheets I went to a restaurant supply store and they are the best. No warping, turning colors, easy to clean, and bake evenly. I was surprised that the cost was almost the same as pans from big box stores. I bought both sizes full and half. I also found a heavy duty xxlarge spoon there to do final mixing of some cookie doughs.

I went through this process this past summer. I watched different sites like :cars, car fax, and car max to learn about different prices etc. Several dealers I went to said sticker price is final price no negotiation, and I drove to nearby smaller towns when I saw their prices were lower. It was a learning experience- now when I’m driving I see cars and have an idea of the cost.

Ours have almost the same thing every year: Apple, orange, chocolate orange, chocolate bar, and lock laces. This year I added a funko pop character for each. We must have small stockings cause these won’t all fit in.

Using a microphone to record that’s seperate from a computer or phone will increase the quality of the recording. We have had good recordings with Audacity too.

[Replacing outgrown holiday traditions]

Maybe after everyone leaves on Christmas Eve a car ride looking at Christmas lights might be a nice way to recover from everything. The cities near us list all the houses with awesome lights so we map out our path and go for a drive later at night. Last year someone had a lighted sign that said “What is Mrs Cratchits first name?” Still don’t know!

“Good Dog” Training- just thinking of something that’s simple easy to remember. I know when I like my dogs behavior I say “good dog”, and when I hear people say their dog needs training they say I just want a good dog.

Would the bed frame work being repurposed into a bench? I inherited an old bed frame that needs custom size mattress and am planning to make the frame into a bench instead.

 The two companies/websites that I use are sunprecautions-used to be solumbra and coolibar. I have many hats and shirts from them as well as sunscreens. Their clothing has some sunscreen in the fabric. I have always had good customer service with both. I almost always wear a Sunscreen hat.

The latest sunscreen I use is vanicream for face 45 spf, they also have sunscreen lip protection. My derm has a cabinet full of different products so I try new different ones after asking about them. I have very sensitive skin so am careful of what I can put on my face.

One last thing, I was told early on to keep track of my D3 levels.

I have given my ds’ stickers for their laptop. There are stickers designed for that. One ds got Star Wars ones and the other jrrtolkien. One sticker goes the width of the laptop. There are many styles. 

There are some stickers for the bumper of cars too.

I have a Zojirushi that I really like.  It holds its temperature for a long time (hours) and no leak or spill problems. I carry in a purse or backpack no worries.

I have a prepology can opener and it’s about10 years old works great. I originally bought one for my mom, it takes little hand effort. I also have a Kuhn Rikon multi opener tool that has every kind of twist, pull tab, etc opener on it and it’s great.

The weekend that you’ll be in Duluth: bayfront blues festival, day out with Thomas the tank engine , and Duluth bike festival.  The website visitduluth.com lists many events. The William Irving is the ship museum that has tours.  The university of mn campus in Duluth has a planetarium with weekend shows. Moose lake state park has an agate center that is small but a nice place.
