Latin for Children vs. Memoria Press

Sigh. I am typing up the schedule and there is no way this kid is getting to latin this year without neglecting the essentials. So maybe Latin Alive for high school then. -
Which of these would be most appropriate for a middle schooler who still really struggles with English grammar? I want to stick with ecclesiastical pronunciation because he's familiar with it from the Latin Mass.

Somewhat of a follow up question. Which Singapore specific manipulatives did you find most useful? I have the classics (multilink cubes, base 10, cuisenaire rods)

I want to use Miquon to supplement Singapore with some hands on work over the next few years with my 2 daughters, who are about to start PriMath 1A and 2A in the fall. Any suggestions about how the content lines up between the two series?
