Most of the US eastern seaboard and the Southeast, parts of the Southwest. Mexico, Canada, the Bahamas, US Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, and Spain. Spain is definitely the farthest. I'm slowly adding more of the US, year by year, and I hope to travel more internationally in a few years.

No book recs, but what works best for me is to set up a separate account at a separate bank for the thing I'm saving for and move money into it every week on payday. I move the amount I know I an afford based on my budget. That way it isn't on hand and I'd have to go to the account and move the money back to my main account to be able to spend it, which takes a day or two to transfer...I've never wanted to splurge badly enough to go through that many steps, lol.

Samsung.
I did a lot of research when renovating our kitchen, and I chose a Samsung French Door fridge. Love it. 18 months so far and no problems. Ours wasn't inexpensive, but I got the largest one they make with all the bells and whistles. A smaller one with fewer bells and whistles might be more affordable.
We have a similar model but smaller, without all the bells and whistles. :)
I love it, except for the icemaker. We have issues with it getting jammed. It's not even an in-door one either.

We looked at it, but opted instead for water babies. It is slower paced and more gentle, and it also sets them up for swim lessons when they are older. It still teaches basic water safety skills like floating and grabbing the side. Both my boys were swimming independently very early just from water babies. We did go to a private instructor though, not one of the big classes.

Salmon patties with tzatziki and bacon.

Cloth. It does get hotter than Hades here.
:iagree:
Leather car seats really can cause burns here.

Peaches and mulberries are already done for the year here. We have okra and sweet potatoes in the garden, which are about all that will stand the heat. Oh, and a new variety of tomato, just to see if it will make it. It is a relatively new hybrid named Heatmaster because supposedly it will continue to produce in the summer. :glare: We'll see.
Oh, and figs are just getting started. Hopefully we'll have a decent crop in the fall, unless the deer get them first.

Used them for both my guys at theme parks. Both of mine were/are easily excited and just fine going to investigate something on their own. In a very stimulating and crowded place it is just too easy to lose them.

I tried to post a wanted ad but it says I need at least one post on the forums. I've been here for years. What do I need to do to be able to post there?

I'm so sorry. That's awful. Some people just shouldn't talk.

Which dates will you be here?
For hotels, do you want convenient, or budget friendly?
Check out

The children's museum and aviary are next to each other, and often have admissions deals. You can easily do be in one day. My kids enjoyed the children's museum at ages older than you'd expect, it's not just for preschoolers.
Gateway clipper has river tours of varying lengths, some may even include lunch or dinner.
There is a ginormous Carnegie library next to the museum of natural history. It's beautiful, too.
Thanks! Those look great.
For hotels, I would like convenient, but budget-friendly is probably more important. We'll be there the third weekend in July.

I found some at Target that have a regular swim bottom inside, then the shorts over that. I find them very comfortable.

We're looking at spending a weekend in Pittsburgh next month. We want to go to the zoo, aquarium, and natural history museum. What area should I be looking in for hotels? And if you have any specific hotel recommendations, I would love to hear them!
Also are there any other activities we absolutely shouldn't miss?

They seem to lessen during exercise. Not go away completely, but definitely not worse. My doc said I should probably ask about the 24-48 hr monitor as well, so that is definitely on my list. I will check to see if they have an electrophysiologist.

No acid reflux lately. I'm 38, so a little early for perimenopause, but still within the normal age range. I suppose that could be it. If so, then at least coffee should be okay again, right?
My doc said the cardio referral would go to them first thing Monday and I should hear from them pretty quickly. Fingers crossed for a quick appointment.
And thanks for the hugs.

I have had a cold. Not bad, just a sore throat and a little sinus drainage. I suppose that could be it. I assume vitamin levels are something the doctors will check. I will ask if they don't suggest it.
Thank you for the ideas. I hope it goes away too. Or at least back to the one every once in a while that it used to be.

I'm pretty sure no. I can be certain in about a week.

I have PAC, premature atrial contractions. Feels like my heart skipping. I've had it for years, it happened every once in a while and was no big deal.
Until a week or so ago. Suddenly I'm having it multiple times a day, sometimes multiple times in a row, enough that it makes me lightheaded, headachey, and sick to my stomach. Yes, I've been to the doctor. I'm waiting for an appt with a cardiologist. I was told today to go ahead and completely cut out caffeine and drop HIIT exercise until this is sorted but otherwise continue normal activity and just sit down and rest when I have an episode.
What could cause this sudden change? I've had no change in diet, exercise, medication, nothing I can think of. It is very unpleasant, like when you stand up too fast, but worse and longer lasting. And I'm concerned I might have an episode while I'm driving. :confused1:

Why do you have it on your children?
I work part time. If one of my boys died I would want the flexibility to stop working altogether to be with the other.

We have term life through dh's employer. He has 1x his salary provided, and we added more that we pay for, for me and the boys as well as more for dh.

As a business owner I know how this happens. You think you are keeping your books right, you think you're being careful, but all of a sudden you do all the math and go, "Crap, I'm working my butt off to lose money!" Prices go up, simple as that. With such a huge jump I think they were really underpricing. 135 a month is really, really cheap for MA.
Not where I live. Monthly tuition runs between $80-100 for most dojos here, depending on style and frequency of classes.
OP - At our dojo it takes a minimum of 6 months from brown belt to black. More if the student needs more time. And that is a very large, very sudden increase. I would definitely talk to the owner about it.

We keep ours out all except the hottest days. And room temperature here is nearing 80 2/3 of the year. We go through butter pretty quickly though. A stick is usually gone in a couple of days.

Pretty good. Not too much has changed here, lol. Still trucking along with the older while chasing the younger. I can't really call him the little anymore, he's giant now!
