Hello all,
I have a weak background in Geometry and Physics (in my eyes, anyway) and am looking for some resources to strengthen them.
I've looked at AOPS but I really like explicit explanations rather than having to make connections myself. I'm not a huge fan of textbooks in general as I struggle to pick out what's important and what isn't and spend forever on one chapter. I did like Lial's Beginning and Intermediate Algebra, however. Would I like their Geometry? I'm not sure if there are multiple differently titled ones like there is for Algebra but if there are, which title/edition is best? I hated Jacob's Geometry but I know a lot of boardies love it. It's just not for me.
Are there any video lecture courses that I could do, particularly MOOCs? They tend to fit well with how I like to learn. I don't have a lot to spend money-wise but I do have a fair bit of time.
The same thing goes for Physics. Videos preferred, dislike textbooks, would like problems to work through. This isn't for any particular reason other than self-ed so I don't necessarily need something that covers the traditional areas. I'd really appreciate some help from those more knowledgeable than I! :)
