It's a cozy raining morning here - nice after hotter temps. Youngest is getting over a summer cold - I feel bad for her, but it's kinda nice to have a break from driving to swim. But wouldn't you know someone else needs a ride to something today. I love summer break, but then every week (sometimes every day) has some unusual demand. But the rain is so nice.

I’m staying home from church too - recovering from swim meet in Nashville. Yay for no plague in the Slashy household! Yay for new classroom space! Yay for new kitties, summer travel, and all the things!

(((Susan))) Hi Slashie! Lovely pictures! I am ketchupped. Three of us went to the beach for a long Memorial Day weekend. Two years was a long time to wait, but it was lovely. We have VBS starting tonight, but I'm not helping. But two dss are helping. But thankfully one can drive. Willy-nilly.

Beautiful pictures! (((Jacoby))). I used to wrap our lab’s leg to keep him from getting at a spot that needed to heal. I still have wrap I didn’t use. Let me know if you need it. I might even have bright pink. 🤣

We start getting into the 80s tomorrow and the rest of the week. Trying to just have windows open for now. I hate going straight from heat to a/c, but it seems to happen that way here. Coffee! To-do list! All the things!

DD and I went to a swimmeet over the weekend. So.much.fun. We have (she has) switched from short course to long course (i.e. 25 yd pool to 50 meter pool). She will age up before state, so she has to get 13/14 cuts to go to state in July. She got one this weekend and was within a second for 3 others. 🎉 Other than that, we are finished with the school year. Woo-hoo! I don't have book inscriptions to do (what a brilliant idea!!!!), but I do have lots of papers to file.

Happy Friday! My highschoolers are finished except for one class. Youngest finishes next week. And she decided to take summer off from violin, so that's another thing finished for now. 🎉 Next week I hope to start shoveling out from under my desk and file school work and other stuff. One of my ds's showed me a Tim Hawkins video last night that I hadn't seen before, which prompted me to find and share some of his older stuff. End result, I stayed up late ROFL at Tim Hawkins. That was great. Yay for more classroom space and weeding and reading and Tours of Italy and string trios and quartets and recitals and surviving morning, noon and night! More coffee! Then my to-do list!

The portal opened! I am only ketchupped this page. Yay for fun kayaking. Tears for last recitals and lessons. Boo for wonky transmissions and long waits for flooring. Hugs for all who need 'em. It was an exciting weekend here. Two highschool kids had their homeschool spring formal. Youngest dd had her swim banquet. Oldest ds came home from college. Saturday I had a to-do list a mile long and got almost all of it done before he got home, including a homecooked meal and homemade bread. One more week of school for my highschoolers and two more weeks for youngest dd and two more weeks of college for 2nd oldest. Then the wild rumpus can begin, lol.

Krissi, do you have your new coffee maker yet? I need some! I left the house without coffee to take ds to the gym! Also, one of my tires is a little low, so I’m hoping it holds out until the afternoon. 😬😬😬

Nice skirt! Trophies to all who survived the week, got vaccinated, didn't crave bananas, did math, taught science, hiked hills, got new jobs, survived colds, and all the things! And a trophy for me because I have almost finished our tax return. 😳 🎉 I was avoiding the time it takes to log on here, but here I am. Glad to see everyone is clicking along. It is a rainy day here, but otherwise normal-ish.

Happy Friday Eve. Coffee is going fast. So is dd's spring break. I should really be getting more done. Diaries - I don't keep one for all the aforementioned reasons. The "boundary keeper" in me would say no to reading someone else's, the "historian" in me would say it's a shame to just toss them. So, I guess it would depend on whose it was. I think I would be more inclined to read a grandparent's than a parent's. I don't think I would read a sibling's at all. #felpful

I'm trying to tidy up the house a wee bit and clean a very little bit. Meh. But it's for a good cause - friends are coming over tonight. All of dd's friends are traveling for spring break and she is sad to be home and bored. I should give her something to do <grin> but I'm not young and tough anymore.
