We've used Frontline for years. Then last year it didn't seem to work any more.
I have heard from friends that they have had the same problem.

How much do you have to make or save to make this worth your time and energy?
I took a lot of books to the thrift store just because it wasn't worth my time to sell the books that I would have only got $5 or $10 for.
I live in a rural area so to meet people in town is going to take a minimum of a gallon of gas for the closest town and more like 2 1/2 gallons for the larger nearby town.
I guess it isn't too bad if I was going into town anyway but it seems like such a hassle to try and arrange a time that works for both parties. Plus I've only been going into town once per week here recently and trying to get everything done in one trip.
As far as buying stuff - again by the time I add in my gas and the fact that it usually isn't convenient I think I would just rather pay the extra $20 and buy it new and have it delivered.

I would be fine with two weeks.
I know going to the kennel is hard on my two guys. I wish I could find a reliable person that dog sits at their house but I haven't been able to find anyone that I would trust.

Did you order both volumes?
Did you have to pay $30 (premium access) for the online access for each volume?
$30 for volume 1 and another $30 for volume 2?
Do you happen to know, if you plan to use the books that you purchased through the site for an addition child a couple of years down the road can you purchase another 1 year access without having to purchase the books again?

For my youngest (1st grade) I had him work on the McGraw Hill Test Prep book. Mostly so he could get use to reading the questions and filling in the bubbles.
Once they have a couple of years of testing under their belt I do no prep until they get to 9th grade. Then my kids start taking the ACT that fulfills the standardized test requirement.

How to change a tire for sure. DS learned when he was 12 years old. We had a flat on the highway and he basically changed the tire for me. :)
laundry - wash, dry, fold and ironing
basic sewing
cooking
housework
gardening
Anything you do around the house have your DS help you or do it for you sometimes.

I have the same problem right now. Except I can't figure out where the flies are coming from. I don't smell anything dead - which has happened before when a mouse dies in the walls.
I have been killing flies for the past 4 days. Today I've only seen two so I think maybe it will be over with soon.
You could put up those sticky paper fly traps and hang those up in various places around the house or the room affected.
It could have been something as small as a mouse that died somewhere in your floor space and those little guys seem to find their way in through teeny tiny holes.
Usually once flies have found the dead animal it really only takes a few days and the entire animal is gone and just the bones are left.
We had a deer hit and killed near the road. The maggots ate that thing within three of four days and then only the bones and fur remained - gross I know!

I talk to my kids about all kinds of stuff. There really isn't any topic that is off limits. They are allowed to form their own opinions.
My husband and I discuss topics in front of the kids - we don't always agree but I think it is important for the kids to see two people discuss topics and disagree and see them be able to listen and respect the other persons point of view.
I also ask the kids leading questions so they can think about various topics without telling them my opinion about the topic. I like to hear how they think a topic through. I will often share my view at the end but I want to see what they think first.

My kids rarely ever get sick.
I can't even remember when one of them went to the doctors for a sick visit, several years ago at least.

My husband likes working and I like homeschooling.
He does not want to homeschool the kids himself. I doubt he would last the day if he tried. :D

NET10
I pay $30 for 60 days of service and 300 minutes. Unused minutes do not expire.
They have them at Target. You can get a phone with 300 minutes for around $30, so it is like getting a free phone.
I rarely use my phone but is nice to know that I have it and I can also use it for calling my folks in the UK at a rate of 15 cents per minute which is fine because I have tons of minutes I'll never use.

I don't really know what to tell you other than you need to figure it out and handle it.
Maybe a therapist could help figure out what is going on.
My brother did the same kind of things when he was young. He would steal money from mom and dad. He would hoard food. I'm not sure if he was buying the candy or stealing it. My parents never really handled or addressed the problem.
Ultimately he went on to steal larger and larger items. Eventually he just graduated to breaking and entering. I'm not sure if it was an adrenaline rush thing or an attention thing. It was never addressed or handled even though my parents knew what he was up to.
I feel sad for my brother because he could have ended up a different person if our parents had cared enough to deal with it.

Why do you think that you NEED to eat liver once a week?
We don't eat any meat and we're all healthy and happy.

We don't do anything either. I usually don't mention to people that we don't do anything because I get accused of being a grouch.
Today is just another ordinary day. I don't need Hallmark holiday to know I'm loved and appreciated.
We also don't do Valentines, Father's Day, Easter or the other typical holidays either. They just aren't important to any of us.

Ignore, ignore, ignore.
Last time my MIL called she said that she couldn't find anyone to buy her house and since we don't have a mortgage and are the only family member that would qualify for a mortgage we need to buy her house from her. :glare:
I try and just look at things from a humorous point of view! Because it isn't going to happen.

You are not a bad person. I won't talk to my MIL either. No way! I've had her yell and scream at me one too many times. Not going there again.

It was light blue titles - which I found hard to read. Light grey text.
Each result took up a lot of space on my screen.
It didn't highlight a result that I had read so I didn't know which ones I had already looked at.

Mine changed yesterday to their new format. It was HORRIBLE.
I finally figured out how to change it back after wasting a bunch of time.
So annoying that they just change it. No button to ask if I would like the new format. Ugh!

I'm surprised that my brother and I survived. Mom and dad didn't know where we were or who we were with.
Bad things happened. Stuff I don't want to go into.
We lived in a neighborhood and would be gone for hours doing things that we probably shouldn't have been doing.
Mom and dad never seemed to care what we were up to. Looking back I think they were quite neglectful as parents.

I would have my daughter ask her why? Why is public school better? Why are the learning opportunities better? How do you know that? What are you basing that on?
Many times when asked questions you will find that kids can't answer them. They haven't thought them through and often they are just repeating what their parents have told them.

Just cancel. Say that you won't be able to attend after all.

My kids are not big milk drinkers.
DS7 and DS11 drink milk once in a while, not daily.
DS14 will not drink milk and drinks soy milk instead.
We go through about a gallon a week since I have milk in my coffee and milk gets used for cooking.

My 14 year old son and I were wondering the same thing this morning but didn't know the answer.

My mom always charged me 1/3 of my pay - starting at age 16 when I got my first job.
I think that 1/3 of his pay is fair for room and board.
