  1. It takes my son 45 min-1 hour. He has never really cared for math, but geometry seems to be clicking. Yay!
  2. My younger son is doing Biology this year in 9th and we are planning to do Marine Biology next year. We'll do Chemistry in 11th and possibly Physics in 12th. I would like for his math to be stronger before he does Chemistry and he is looking forward to Marine Biology.
  3. I had my two oldest doing science together until this past year when one was 6th and the other 7th. My 7th grader did General while I did a different book with my 6th grader. I had been worried about the reading in General b/c it was definitely a step up from what we had been doing. If I could do it over, though, I would have them do it together and would purchase the audiobook to aid my 6th grader. In hindsight, he would have had no problem grasping the content, and then I could have kept them together. (At least a little longer!)
  4. This post makes me feel so much better! I haven't done any lit guides with my rising 7th grader yet for fear of squeezing what joy of reading he has out of him. My concern is preparing him for writing about literature. He absolutely hates to write anything, so we do a lot of things orally. He even came up with a symbol for his name so he wouldn't have to waste time writing it. :001_rolleyes: He is very intuitive and will discuss books some, I'm just worried about the writing.
