Our washer and dryer are dying, so I don't recommend them.
Friends of ours said we should replace them with Electrolux. Of all the washers in their extended family, Electrolux was the best.

Coffee! Tomorrow we are hoping to celebrate Dd11's belated birthday. Belated because we had to cancel all festivities in the midst of researching our latest HGTV Magazine piece, How-to-Completely-DIY-Remodel-Your-Kitchen-in-10-Days-Or-Less-Without-Contracting-Coronavirus-at-Home-Depot. (Answer: Don't sleep. Shop at Lowe's.)
Today I'm plowing my way through the crawlspace in hopes of finding our old supply of reusable fleece baby wipes. Saving the last of the toilet paper for cases that warrant flushing, as it looks like our Amazon subscription won't be filled before May.
What is this world coming to? 😩

Quack from Duck. I've missed you all. We are good and sheltering-in-place on governor's advisory. Flour and tp are running low, but we got chocolate. My Covid memory will be buying (or not) this new house. Oy.
Just a free tip: Avoid real estate transactions during Apocalypses.

I missed the anniversary!!!!! 😩
I will have to relive it through ketchupping, I suppose. 😢
I forget where I've said this, but the ducks are hoping to migrate. New house! Offer accepted! Chaos ensued about a week ago, very much out of the blue as we hadn't expected to find anything so soon after getting an agent (we've "looked" for five years and found nothing). And then a day later? Coronapocalypse hit.
Tip: Avoid the selling and buying of houses (especially on contingency) during coronapocalypses. It is not pretty.
There are plusses, though: Dh is home (because the whole world is home) so he's helpful while not using up tons of vacation time. All the things are cancelled (because the whole world is cancelled) so there's no awkward backing out of commitments. None of us are worried about food or toilet paper because there's no time to eat, hence, no need for either. And our once very heavily traveled local road is now a tranquil haven of rural bliss. I haven't seen a truck in days.
Sooo.... all to say I'm trying to be grateful but hope normalcy will return in a few weeks. Prayers appreciated!

I should have him bring home ice cream and raspberries. 😋

I've got a splitting headache, but Dd9 gave me a head massage and then brought me a snowdrop she found blooming in the yard. Life is good.

Happy Monday! I'm lunching now, after having the agent over to measure rooms. Basement counts! Far enough above grade.
I have more stuff on my to-do list than I can possibly manage, so we are going to continue with Bare Basics Schooling this week. I already did that last week, so I really don't want it to become a habit, but there is only so much of me.
Also, I need a nap. Because up until 3:30am last night.
Checklist for the rest of the day. For my own brain... You are welcome to ignore it, though I wouldn't. It's truly a fascinating read. Edge of your seat stuff. I'd hate for you to miss it.

Dh takes kids to choir/gym. - dinner is cheap pizza for kids and leftovers for adults...phew.
An update. Because I know you are all on the edge of your seats.
BTW See what I did there? My email is written but not sent as I'm awaiting a final bit of info from someone to add to it.
Also, I get credit for Dh taking the kids.

Did I mention that dh is taking the week off work to get things done around the house? Tomorrow we might get a new dryer because dh can't figure out what is wrong with ours (loud screeching noise). He fixed it a few years ago without too much difficulty but he is thinking that it is finally about to give out completely. It's over 10 years old, so maybe on its last leg?
We've burned through two dryers in 16 years (the current one is our second, but about a quarter of the time now it doesn't actually dry). They don't make 'em like they used to.
So... after 10 years I'd probably call it quits, unless the problem is easy to diagnose and cheap to fix.
In my case we are just hoping to hobble across the finish line with our dying washer and dryer so that we can leave them with the new homeowners.

Ahhh, music. The universal language that drowns out everyone else's stupid noise.

((Krissi)) Some chapters in life are like that. Maybe start with just making yourself (or better yet, having a kid make for you) a healthy snack bag each morning? Baby carrots, celery, cheese, hard boiled egg, berries, fruit, water bottle...something simple to carry on the road. Enough to tide you over until you can get a good meal at home. Most kids will survive just fine on drivethrus when needed, or less healthy meals at home, but a healthy recharge for you might give you what you need for yourself, plus the stamina to tend to everyone else.
Secure your oxygen mask first, you know. 😉- 3

As Dd7 helped me move Very Heavy Furniture back into the 3 foot-high crawlspace, she said, "Mommy? Why are we putting all this furniture back in here when we are hoping to be moving soon?"
Wisdom beyond her years.

Cotton fleece similar to these. (Not polyester). I'm really hoping I didn't donate them!! Haven't crawled around in the crawlspace to find them yet.
