  1. I just wanted to say formally that we were unable to get enough people to do a group-buy for this fall. I went ahead and placed my order at the full price because I needed to get the kids started. I would be interested in possibly pursuing this again for next year, but I know this is a long way off. Thanks for your interest and I am sorry it did not work out!
  2. Great. I will keep you posted. There are only 3 of us so far...if you have friends or know of other homeschoolers, please pass along the opportunity and let me know.
  3. Is anyone else interested? There are only 2 of us so far....need to get to 10!!!
  4. I know there were a couple of previous posts somewhere about organizing a Veritas Press Group Buy for those interested in purchasing the elementary level(s) of the self-paced history but I'm joining in here a little late and would LOVE to get something organized this week if possible. If you are interested in a group buy, my understanding is that if we purchase 10 courses total (excluding Omnibus courses), we can save $50 on each one. The regular price on these courses is $199/each. Please respond as soon as possible if you are interested and we'll see if we can make it to 10! I would like to place the order as soon as possible! You may email me at amyseekell@cox.net with questions if you would like or comment here.
  5. I just wanted to post here in case anyone was thinking about purchasing the One Year Adventure Novel this year. It is currently on sale at the Homeschool Buyer's Coop...down from $199 to $169...and possibly as low as $159 if more people join. Planning to use it with my 8th grader this year. It looks great! https://www.homeschoolbuyersco-op.org/one-year-adventure-novel/?c=1
  6. Trying to decide on a French program for my upcoming 8th grader...we have La Francais Facile, but we are having a hard time implementing it! Should I just do a textbook approach like BJU?
  7. Our plans are still very open...but here is what we have so far: Math: VT Interactive Algebra English: R&S 8 and Vocabulary from Classical Roots History: American (haven't chosen resource yet!) Science: BJU Earth and Space F.L.: French? Music: piano/clarinet Still working on other details!
  8. My son is doing VideoText and seems to be doing well with it. We bought it used so we aren't able to take advantage of the "help call line" but hubby is a math teacher and answers questions for him when he gets stuck. So far so good!!!
