  1. did that...now how she she find that board since it didn't transfer...
  2. My daughter and I have been sharing my pinterest account...but now I want her to have her own account, but I want to know if I can move whole boards from my account to hers. If so, can someone please tell me step by step how to do that. I really don't want to move pin by pin, unless there is no other choice. thanks.
  3. thanks you so much. I wondered if the nature of a charcoal mask was basically the same.....peel off or wash off. She just told me too that there was rose water in it. Is there something to that? thanks.
  4. My daughter recently saw a TV commercial for a charcoal based face mask, but she can't remember the name. The one thing she remembers that she liked was when they removed the mask, you could actually see all of the oils that were pulled from the skin (sorry, I know that is kind of gross). Now, I don't know if that is actually true and/or if that is actually good. Or if that is what most charcoal based masks do. But at any rate, my daughter has oily skin. She is allergic to benzoyl peroxide. She has been using Paula's Choice products and the are working fairly well, but she wanted to try a mask like what she saw, and Paula's Choice and I saw this one: http://www.paulaschoice.com/shop/skin-care-categories/masks/_/Skin-Balancing-Oil-Absorbing-Mask but I wasn't sure if this would be a good choice or not. What do you guys think?? Thanks. Kathy
  5. If I can prove the weight...do I pursue this...or give in and give her her money back?
  6. I did that. And probably because it was media mail, it's not listed.
  7. I don't have the receipt. All I have is the tracking number. If I checked with the post office could they find record of the weight?
  8. I had 2 identical sets of curriculum (Notgrass High School Government) which consisted of 2 textbooks, and 3 smaller workbooks. I sold them at the same time to 2 different people and I remember boxing them up and mailing them out at the same time. I remember the boxes weighing the exact same and the shipping was the same. Anyway, I got a message from one of the ladies just now claiming that only one of the textbooks was in the box and nothing else...and she asked me what happened. I KNOW I mailed the whole set of books. But I can't prove it. The set sold for $30 So, now what do I do?
  9. anybody? Or is there another forensics science that would be appropriate for an 8th grader?
  10. went grocery shopping about 45 minutes away from our home. bought some things that needed to stay cool...one was a couple containers of sour cream....they didn't make it into the cooler....so they stayed in my car for about 3 1/2 hours while we sat at the dentist and ran a few more errands. They weren't in direct sun...but the temp outside is about 75...the containers were barely cool when I found them later. I also found a container of spreadable cheese and a tube of those "tube biscuits"...they all felt barely cool when we got home...are they ok...or should I trash them all? thanks.
  11. I was wondering what you guys can tell me about this for an 8th grader? Was it good? was it interesting? experiments? Just a general overall review please. thanks.
  12. A package was mailed to me media mail on March 22... And it is still not here... Have I waited long enough to ask for my money back? The seller has all along offered to refund me, so I doubt it will be an issue...I just feel bad. What would you do? We have tried to track it from both sides and had a search put on it... But we have come up empty handed. Thanks for your thoughts.
  13. I didn't even think about it when they purchased it... We hardly ever fly... Like rarely... Usually drive everywhere.. So it wasn't on my radar screen. I do like the idea of putting it in smaller containers...I will try to find some.
  14. My boys bought a container of mars mud..aka slime. Will that make it through security at the airport...We aren't checking any bags. I have no idea how big the container is but it's bigger than 3oz. What would you do?
  15. It was rainy much of the day... So we ended up going to the postal museum at Union station and then hit the zoo. It rained on us much of the day... Not hard, just enough we used out umbrellas... So it wasn't all bad we didn't go to Mount Vernon...we heard nearly everything is outside and the ground is dirt..not paved. Thank you for all of the ideas.
  16. Yeah.. We did that yesterday.. It was fun
  17. Lanny... Love the phone.. However I get this message often: Google app has stopped... And then I get 2 options... Close app, or send feedback. It is annoying. What does this mean? And what do I do about it?
  18. We looked at WMATA and the closest we could get was more than a mile walk from the bus stop... Plus it was a 90+ minute ride there. Just seems like too much. We are bummed.. But there must be something else to do.
  19. We were going to go mount Vernon, but we can't seem to figure out how to get there easily..and fairly inexpensively..so we are looking for plan B...since we have done all of the main things...so...what little known places are there that might be interesting? Oh one thing we didn't do is bureau of engraving and printing....but we didn't know how hard it will be to get ticket this late..We tried to get them in advance, but couldn't. So....any thoughts for us today?
  20. Thanks for that. All of us will probably have a backpack, although mine and my husband's are a bit bigger. The kids have those whippy string back packs. There are tons of school groups here and most of those kids have backpacks... So I doubt we would be alone in this. Thanks again.
  21. I know what the website says... But I was hoping someone who has been there recently can tell me how strict they are being? Or if there is a place to stash bags if needed.
  22. We plan to go tomorrow, can we bring our backpacks? We don't have a car, so we can't leave them in a car...We are taking the metro. Thanks.
