  1. try to have the books via amazon.fr, it could be cheaper.
  2. Try this site for free CNED stuff http://www.academie-en-ligne.fr/default.aspx
  3. I'm from province of Quebec and I have been living in Ontario since 2 1/2 years now.
  4. My son is 3 years old and we only speak to him in our native language which is french since we are living in an english part of the country. Even if I don't speak english with him, he is now able to pick up some words from cartoons on TV and from my conversation when I go outside of the house. So for me, it will be only french at home and when he will have master reading in french then I will teach him some english grammar and other languages if he is interested in it. I have basic knowledge of russian, german and intermediate italian. I want him to learn latin when he will be in 3rd grade or so and I will learn with him.
  5. I learned Russian for 1 year many years ago and from my point of view, you should teach your child the russian grammar, it will help a lot with the understanding of any other grammar he will encounter later in his life. I have learned 5 languages yet and I hope my son will be interested in learning some of them. We are french speakers and are living in an english environment and even if we don't speak english with my son, he is picking up some words from cartoons on TV and people talking to him. He is 3 years old. Teach him using the syllable method, it is the best method for any language to begin reading.
