Definitely chuck.... All I can think of is how "upchucking chunks" would fit in.

I started reading through the "a slob comes clean" blog, and it really struck home with me. I started with the kitchen being clean at night, running the dishwasher, and making the bed in the morning. I also started keeping a journal, so I can see what I HAVE done.

The book I was thinking of is called London, by Edward Rutherford.

I love all his books! He's done one about Dublin and NYC, not sure about others. Oh, and Stonehenge, I think?

How about when you thought the house was tidy but your dh (or somebody else) doesn't agree? How do you shift your point of view to see what they see?

[Do you discuss afterschooling with teachers?]

I wonder if it's a case of, if our kids are doing well, keep after schooling, but if they are struggling, it must be the after schooling? Whenever we have teacher conferences, and the teachers say good things about the kids, DH asks me why I don't "tell them it's because they're homeschooled?" I figure I'm going to do what I'm doing anyway, and as much as I love the school, I don't really want to know their opinion. Also, most of our after schooling is different from what they take in school (history, literature, etc).
