  1. I voted 1-2 hrs a day. its mostly because its easier to feed my 4 yr old while the tv is on.
  2. I would save the money for future use. Like her book supplies, video games etc. If she already has all the toys etc, you can wait until she grows up and then give her what she like. Or use up the Amazon card for house hold items and deposit the money in bank for her college fund.
  3. My 7 yr old daughter likes 'cooking mama' and 'Mario'. But she does not play DS as much as my son does. she plays DS on long drive or when she is really bored and have nothing to do.
  4. Yes, I would go in the room, unless my son requested specifically not to.
  5. At 16 months it can be challenging to have them sit down and do school work. Usually they like music and dance. So any learning that you can add music and dance too, I am sure the kid will like it. Also at that age I remember my kids liked holding small board books, playing with sand or cereals.
