Still free today (Saturday). Thanks!!

DS8 loves the 10 days games. We have Europe and Asia. He sometimes combines them, and usually beats everyone else. And this is a kid who would rather be running around outside or playing pokemon than do any kind of schoolwork.
So thumbs up from our house!

Our small private school uses it. It is a decent program, not very rigorous in K and 1, but ramps up a bit in 2nd. It is hands on, lots of games. I am sure there are better and worse programs, but all in all, this one is not bad.

DS2 tolerates Asmanex better than some of the others, but he is still a little loopy on it.

John Hughes tribute over now.

My kids loved Dragon Box, I even sprung for the $6.99 version. Of course they had no idea it was algebra and I was not going to spoil their fun by telling them.

You really need a car to get to those places.
:iagree:
I live in this area and don't think you could get around regularly without a car.

My very flat (and very narrow)-footed son has been wearing Asics Gel Kayano running shoes for the last year. They are pricey but the older models can sometimes be found on Amazon or 6pm.com. These are the only shoes that are comfortable enough for him to wear without complaining.

This sounds just like my DS. He positively despised Math Mammoth. He loves LOF (and MCT), he enjoyed CTC's Math Detective and Balance Math. He liked all the Sir Cumference Books (not a curriculum, but a nice supplement). For daily review, he does the Math Minute books. Primary Grade Challenge Math is hit or miss with him because he generally has a lot of trouble with word problems.
I think he would like Beast Academy and may bite the bullet when C comes out.

Always. Younger DS does gymnastics. He enjoys scaling doorways Spiderman-style.
Oh, and I am the only one I know with a tennis net strung across our foyer.

6 days away from being born :)

DS2 goes completely bananas when he eats/drinks anything with red or yellow dyes. Blue seems to be OK, but I try to avoid it all. He gets hyper and then angry/irrational/belligerent.

Hey! I think I know you from another board! Were/are you on the BBB? Of so, I used to browse your store a lot - you had some nice stuff.
That's me :001_smile:

I sell Usborne books, which I just love.
I also had an online store for years that specialized in cool boys' clothes and accessories and stuff, but closed that last year.

I am a loyal Today show viewer and while I thought Ann Curry was a very good newsreader, (and I am sure a lovely person), I could not stand watching her give interviews or "banter" with her co-hosts.
I wish her well but am not sorry to see her leave this position.

I've had my son using a binder for several years. We call it his "Hero" binder. Hero stands for "have everything ready and organized." :D
It's a view binder, and I design a new cover for him every year. It always has HERO on it somewhere, and this last year I was able to find a cartoon boy that looked just like him wearing a superhero costume. It was cute! My ds hasn't been into making his own cover, so I've been doing it for him. One of these days maybe he'll want to do it himself. :tongue_smilie:
I LOVE this!

Dd does the pacing on the phone thing. I wonder why that happens. I wonder if it is because she talks with her hands but needs the hands for the phone.
You may be on to something there. I do tend to talk with my hands. However, I am sitting now typing and just noticed that my legs are bouncing up and down. There probably just needs to be some part of me moving all the time. Huh.

I have the balcony high places fear/jump thing too.
Also, the "I can't take the first book/magazine/whatever off the shelf", I need a "clean" one from the back of the pile.
I don't think this has been posted yet, but I seem to be unable to sit still while talking on the phone. I have to pace. It is OK when I am home but a little weird when I am at work.
I am pretty territorial about my pillow. If someone falls asleep on it, I have no problem yanking it out from under them. Gently of course, LOL.

We live in in the Oviedo/Winter Park area (north of downtown Orlando), feel free to PM with any questions about neighborhoods!

Hey, I am in Central Florida and have a headache too! Also, my allergies & asthma are going bananas from all this rain.

My 9 yo DS's favorite book is Justin Case by Rachel Vail. She just came out with a sequel which he is thoroughly enjoying as well. He is a very reluctant fiction reader, BTW.
He also likes the How to Train Your Dragon series.

I have an iPad and the Samsumg Galaxy S3 phone. I love them both. They work pretty well together too--the calendar syncs, and I can get all my google stuff on both. I would definitely recommend the Samsung phone.
