  1. I'm sure they do take forever to write :( And you are doing a wonderful job at it from what I see. I looked through the grammar stage samples on the website and I'm afraid it does seem a bit young for Autumn; if only because Tony (my husband) has made sure she has a firm grasp on most science concepts. Is the grammar stage adaptable to a fifth grader who is a bit advanced in science?
  2. Does anyone know when the Logic stage physics and chemistry will be introduced? I wanted to use the program so badly but Autumn is too old (and has too much of a science background already) for the grammar stage books. My husband is pretty insistent that she start this year's cycle with physics, then chemistry, and so on (he has a degree in Physics, so he may be a bit biased lol). Unfortunately, those are the two in the series that have no logic stage yet. I will go with Real Science 4 Kids if all else fails. I was just wondering if anybody had word on how the logic stage programs were coming (I can't find anything on her website but I'm not very computer literate lol).
  3. Logic Blastoff series or Fallacy Detective? Anybody who has used either, can you tell me what you liked (or disliked) about them? Trying to make a decision between the two for my fifth grade daughter having had no prior formal instruction in logic.
  4. We are going to start a World Religions unit this upcoming fall or winter (we will see how scheduling goes). We intend on using Usborne's Encylopedia of World Religions combined with interviewing as many faith leaders as we can (or, rather, as my daughter can lol). Good luck with your studies!
  5. Does anybody use this program? Any reviews? If you have used it, how necessary is the teacher's manual? I have heard from some users that it wasn't needed.
  6. Has anybody successfully home schooled their dyslexic child using a Classical education model? Our daughter is almost 10. She is dyslexic. Severely enough that we find ourselves having to consider a tutor for math. Oddly enough she is wonderful with grammar and languages but she struggles horribly in reading (Literature studies), memory work, basic math skills (still doesn't know her multiplcation tables with consistency) and spelling.
  7. We are Catholic. As a supplement for her religious education we use these wonderful flash cards called Friendly Defenders. They contain common questions from protestants and the Catholic retort :o)
