  1. Ok, maybe I am not very observant, but I have looked around the website, and can find no where to purchase the curric.  I can see there is a shopping cart on the top,  but I can't seem to find the place to put anything into the shopping cart?  Is it just me?  probably.  But I think I want to order a couple of these for my kids next year, so I think actually paying will be helpful. :)

    Thanks for the help

I believe you have to create an account first. After you do that, you will have the option to add items to your cart. It took me a while to figure it out as well :001_smile:

  2. I have to say I LOVE that I can get the audiobooks on Librivox! As much as I would like to read aloud to my kids...doing 3 levels of LLTL, and all our other subjects, there is just not enough time in the day! My kids listen to the chapters independently, and then we do the lesson together. Love it! We get our lessons done and then it leaves time for our family read alouds later in the day.

  3. Thank you for the suggestions! I will have to check out all the links that everyone posted. The thing is, she always scores about 90% or more on TT4, but her problem is that she is always SO afraid to get one wrong that she's always asking me for my help. I try to explain to her that at this point, I really don't care what score she gets, I just want her to UNDERSTAND what she did wrong, and learn from her mistakes. She doesn't see it that way :glare:

We have used CLE in the past, and I really liked it. Problem is, she DESPISED it. She is actually a very easy going child, and never really gives me a hard time for any school. I thought I could help her out by doing TT which she likes, and also leaves me more time with my other kiddos. I think CLE challenged her more than TT does.

I think we will just go back to square one and find out what she has mastered and what she needs work with. I would rather do that than continue where she is now.

  4. Ok...were struggling here in math with my 4th grade daughter. Honestly, I just don't know where to begin. We've been jumping from program to program hoping it's going to 'fix' whatever issues we have...however, that is just not going to happen. At this point I don't know what she knows and what she doesn't. She's more than halfway through TT4, yet, I really don't think she has a thorough understanding of the topics she's covered. My question is, how can I find out where she really is in math? I'm hoping there is something out there that will guide me to help find out what she knows...and then I'll be able to level her out with what she doesn't have a good grasp on. Boy oh boy...I don't even know what I'm looking for...a test?? some sort of 4th grade standard to go off of??? Help. Please.

  5. I'm finding myself going crazy about what to pick for my 4th and 2nd graders. AT this point, I have my DS5 doing MFW K and we're loving it. He should be done sometime this summer, and i will move him into MFW 1st. I have a DS3 who is doing school when he wants to...but nothing really formal. I also have a DS2 and will have a newborn this May.

With that being said, I want something that is pretty much all-in-one for my older 2. I NEED something hands-on for my DD8. She NEEDS to color while I talk, she NEEDS to do crafty things or she doesn't retain much. The crafts do not have to extravacant or anything. Things like lapbooks work fine. My DS6 who will be combined with her is much more an auditory learner...so he will not need to do any of the extras.

So what are my options? I really like MFW K...are the other levels similar to it?

    Thanks!

  7. My 3rd grader will be using a mix of the following:

Memoria Press 3rd grade curriculum slightly tweaked

    CLE math

    WP Children Around the World

    Biblioplan Ancients

And a mix of SL, TQ, and BF for American History. Yes, were doing both World and US History...ALL my kids adore history and can't get enough!

    BFSU and NL for science

    MCT

And that's all I can remember for now:001_smile:

  8. We're using it as well. We love it. My older son is progressing faster than my ds4...but I would be hesitant to say it moves 'VERY slow'. We have sped it up with my ds6, and he doesn't need the repetition of the games like my younger one does. I think it is fairly easy to speed up/slow down depending on your child's needs.

  9. My dd has been using CLE 200 and we haven't seemed to need the TM yet. I'm getting ready to order CLE 300 math and wondering if I'm going to need it?

I'm not very 'mathy' if that will help with the decision:)

And I feel the need to add WE LOVE CLE MATH! My dd and I went through an embarrassing number of curriculums before we settled on CLE! She is growing by leaps and bounds with math now!!
