for all of the information. I didn't know about the Lukeion option at all. I also found out that one of our local cc has some schedule-compatible classes.

We are aware of write@home, Bravewriter and Landry Academy. Year-long seems to be the norm but doesn't work well with our very disparate schedules for the fall and spring semesters. Thank you in advance for any leads.

I studied these topics in my high school algebra II class.

Your comments are very helpful.

Do you give a full credit for each of these classes?
When I took (non-AP) econ and govt in high school, they were one-semester classes.
The AP homeschoolers versions only last until February and March, respectively.
Have you given a them 1/2 credit? 3/4?
Thank you.

Has anyone heard anything recently from AP US govt? We sent registration materials to the instructor a couple weeks ago and haven't heard anything. The instructor does note on the class page that her responses may be delayed by summer vacations.
However, I am still wondering whether emails have just gone into the abyss or we have otherwise poorly executed this registration. We are newbies with PA AP. I don't see any higher level bureaucracy at PA AP to check with.
I am getting nervous about my student not getting into the class at this point and wondering at what point I should start working on plan B.
Any advice?

Her school system is so rigid, often merely for the sake of conformity, that it is sometimes hard to discern which requirements actually have some sort of logical basis and which are arbitrary. Thanks!

Would algebra I and geometry work well concurrently? I ask this for a friend whose daughter will soon start 9th grade in ps. The mom will not be able to adjust either syllabus but can provide afterschooling if needed. Thank you!

Is the Tim McGee version worthwhile?
outside grades nested inside mom grades on transcript?

Do you report outside grades for work making up only a portion of a credit receiving a mom-assigned grade?
For example, suppose student does a year of English including home-grown study of lit, speech and writing plus three outside writing classes (each about 8 weeks long, different providers). Each of the outside classes reports a grade.
Mom takes the outside grades into account in generating the mom-assigned grade for the year. However, is it advisable also to report, somewhere on the transcript, the outside grades themselves?
I am thinking it could be useful for demonstrating that student has been assessed independently, even if for only part of a credit--but maybe not?
If you have done this, can you recommend a format for doing so?
Thank you all for sharing your wisdom on this forum.
