New Hampshire - really "God's Country", it is so beautiful, close to the ocean, close to Boston, close to everything, no property tax, friendly people, good place to rasie a family

Do you mean "no sales tax"? I think property taxes in NH are fairly high. It's still a great state, though!

Harvard Extension is the community college alternative for many Boston/inner-ring suburb homeschoolers, who are eligible for generous scholarships to help defray tuition costs. I think 14 is a typical starting age. I've known several that earned AA from the H extension school before going to college.
If a student enters the bachelor's degree program, he can take some number (may be = 1) of Harvard College classes.

We've checked it out and I'm ordering a copy in spite of the fact that it's set in the wrong climate zone.
Yes, as the title shows, this is a rendering of a legend. However, we found it useful as a starting point for discussing the development of hangul and the accomplishments of Sejong the Great with little children (K-12 but definitely much more K than 12). The book is not any sort of historical document or realistic treatment.

I recommend the book "The King's Secret: the legend of King Sejong" for the middle ages.

I am also eager to hear how this policy is being implemented.

What type of practitioner diagnoses poor working memory?

We received our envelope here yesterday, 1/10.

Re MIT: Would that have been for graduate school?
I knew many undergrads who had nothing to do with foreign language at MIT.

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!

This is beyond bummer.
I can't imagine how I will recreate the lists of links I have gathered. For many of them I don't have identifiers pointing to possible search terms.

I called College Board this morning and was also told that my student had not written any address-related information on the form. . . very difficult to believe.

Still no scores here. Do we win?

Can't believe they didn't come today!

:confused1: Are you kidding?
Sorry, but no.

I don't think there's anything weird about your daughter.
However, I think the procedure is probably illegal in many states.

It changed the way I looked at high school. Still rigorous but it allowed me to schedule our days differently.
Could you share some f'rinstances?
Thanks,

My understanding is that, until recently, Canada didn't even allow doctors to operate "out of network" (the universal healthcare).
Does anyone know whether this was in fact the case?

Joan,
I searched "joan in geneva" in forums and this thread came up. Only this thread. It is as if the past never happened.

I understand saying no to this. I don't understand why the hotel is the no part. If you don't trust their judgment, would it be better at their home?

About ten years ago, other women in a homeschool support group were discussing a woman who dropped her 6 mo baby somewhere on the way to work and referred to it as school. "I am getting Susie ready for school." "Susie had a nice day at school." etc.
-
I thought the "I don't want a debate" referred to the question of whether vaccines are related to ADD.
I did agree that the woman was inappropriate but thought that pointing out how you gave her an opening could be helpful.
On the other hand, I know a woman whose 30-yo child died of cancer. Upon learning this, the woman's sister said to the woman, "Do you think this is because of that X-ray?" that the woman had when the deceased child was in utero. So, not having an opening might not stop some people.
-
I agree with you that her remarks were inappropriate.
However, I can't imagine telling a stranger--that my family might well expect to have further dealings with--my daughter's status with respect to ADD. That seems like a violation of her privacy right off the bat. Maybe this woman just thought you were open to chatting about manifold aspects of ADD as it relates to your daughter.
If someone thinks your daughter plays well, no need to bring up her weaknesses.
National French Exam?
in High School and Self-Education Board

We had to contact the state coordinator. She was encouraging and very easy to work with. She never offered to send the test to us, but she was willing to meet with us at a convenient location. (Maybe it would have been different if she lived far away instead of 40 min.) In the end, my child took the exam at our local high school with their French dept because their date was a good fit.
