  1. My daughter did Apologia all the way through -Gen. Sci., Phy. Sci, Bio, Chem., Physics, Chem. 2. She said that she was well prepared for college with college classes in Bio, Chem 1 and 2 Organic Chem 1 and 2, Microbiology, Biochemistry 1 and 2.
  2. I called today. They are hoping to get this finished by the beginning of the school year 2016-2017.
  3. My daughter says this is somewhat out of date. (see post above). However the tests on the website look pretty good.
  4. Here's a thought. http://spclc.org/curricula-resources/computer-curriculum#excel
  5. They may have the tapes on the Apologia site. Slow speaking was good for us...you can speed up the speech on some computers.
  6. What computer skills are needed for High School/College? PowerPoint, Excel, Word ...? I need tutorials with assignments. Does anyone have any idea where I could look for a course or curriculum?
  7. Has anyone heard when the Teaching Textbooks Pre-Cal New Edition will be made available?
  8. Thank you for the study guides and references!
  9. Does anyone know when the new edition of TT Pre-cal will come out?
  10. Has anyone used the Apologia Chemistry- Rusty Hughes DVD? If so, how did you incorporate it into your chemistry program?
  11. Has anyone used the Rusty Hughes DVD's. If so, how did you incorporate them with the Apologia course (Physics, Chemistry, etc.)
  12. Has anyone used Apologia Physics before Chemistry. Apologia recommends Chemistry before Physics. I would like to use Physics first as it is a requirement in our state (Chemistry is not). We've completed both Algebra 1 and 2 and will be doing Geometry this year.
  13. We used the BJU (DVD's) Spanish 1 & 2 -- five years ago. This year we used the BJU Spanish 1 online course. We prefer the DVD's -using paper and pencil. There are several grading mistakes on the online quizzes and tests that need to be corrected by BJU.
  14. Does anyone have a favorite On-line or Computer Program that they like for drivers education?
  15. Would Mystery of History 3 (used in 1 semester) be a strong enough program for high school? We have been using another High School World History program this semester...not loving it. We would pick up Mystery of History Vol. 3 (where we leave off the other program) and use it for the remainder of the year. We completed the MOH vol. 1 and 2 in middle school. MOH seems to "stick"(history remembered rather than soon forgotten). I read these comments off of Cathy Duffy's website regarding MOH vol. 3: Volume III stretches into high school level. Volume III seems to me best for junior high and high school level simply because of the breadth and depth of information covered.
  16. I called Bob Jones this morning. They said that the new version (no interruptions) of Spanish 1 was completed Feb. 1, 2013. It will be nice to have a 30 minute lesson. Thank you for all of your helpful comments!
  17. I called Bob Jones. They said that Spanish 1 was now without the interruption of the other students. I'll call again tomorrow to see if I was told correctly. My daughter took both BJU Spanish 1 and 2 - 5 yrs. ago. She just forwarded through the interruptions. I asked BJU when Spanish 2 would be redone. They don't know. It was a very good program. I just don't know whether to buy the program with the DVD's or use the online program.
  18. Which of these two options might be the best for a 9th grade English credit? Excellence in Literature: English 1 - Introduction to Literature or Windows to the World with Elegant Essay (two 1 semester).
