  1. It starts on page 19 with "The Early Years" and has probably around 30 poems, not including the Bible memorization further down. "Grammatical Stage" begins on page 59, but the poems are quite longer. Does that help any? We whole heartedly enjoy the book, but it was a free book to us so I didn't feel pressured to enjoy it :)

  2. Yes, my mom homeschooled my older brother and I. He attended a public school kindergarten when he was 6 years old, and after that my mom decided there was no way he was going back. I loved being homeschooled, but prior to having children, I did not think I could do it myself. How things change once we become a mother :001_wub:

I love homeschooling my own, I want them to have the same cherished childhood that I did.

    On a side note, I am also 26 :001_smile:

  3. My son is only 6 (and a half, can't forget that!) years old, but he loves Song School Latin. He is a very auditory learner, so the cd is our favorite part. I know it says it is geared for K-3, so honestly I think it would be just fine with your 8 year old. I thought the price was pretty fair, too, so even if it didn't work out, no doubt you could find some one else to buy it on the For Sale thread!

  4. Wow, I like that face recognition site..who would have thought Eva Longoria was my twin? :D Since I'm two times taller, not to mention a frizzy curly headed, blue eyed girl of the south. Aw well.

When I was in high school, and the show "Felicity" was on, people thought I looked like her (the long, curly hair was the only feature I could see similiarities!). There was also some girl in a commercial for some acne medicine back in the late '90's, and I got a lot of remarks about her, but not being much of a TV watcher, never ever saw her to see if I saw a resemblance! Darn darn.

  5. I bought the manipulatives set as that is the main focus for the K program (no workbook to use!). If you already have some of the manipulatives, then perhaps you could purchase the rest individually on Rainbow Resources. They really are fun :001_smile:

  6. I wasn't sure if you were doing the Introduction or starting at chapter 1
