  1. I am working on my ds transcript. He is currently finishing up his sophomore year. He has had two years of Bible, just wondering where I put that on his transcript, as an elective, under English, etc...
  2. Do you allow your kids to use their notes when taking tests? Just curious, I remember being allowed to use notes in tests in some of my high school classes and am considering letting my 9th grader use his notes for tests. Just wondering if others do this too....
  3. I have a 9th grader and I'm wondering how you do your grading . Just counting tests and quizzes or do you also give a grade daily work? I'm of the thought that the daily work is where he is learning the material so grading seems unnecessary, just wondering what others are doing?
  4. Just wondering if anyone can help me out. I ordered BJU Heritage Studies 5 tests 3rd. edition off Ebay. When I received it, I realized it was missing test 2. Wondering if anyone can help me out and scan test 2 for me and email it to me. If you could pm me I could give you the email to mail it to. Thanks!!!
  5. This is my first official post! I have lurked on these boards for a long time gaining all kinds of wisdom from you ladies. Can you look at my 9th grade plans for this upcoming year. They are not complete but can you tell me how it looks so far? Saxon Algebra 1- 1 credit BJU Fundamentals of Literature- 1/2 credit BJU Writing & Grammar 9- 1 credit Apologia Biology- 1credit BJU Cultural Geography- 1 credit Lifepac Health- 1/2 credit We live in Missouri, so need 24 credits for graduation. Any ideas on what else to fill credits? This is my first year for high school so I'm not feeling very confident! This is for my son, and as of right now he is unsure of what direction he wants to head into. His passion is cars, and I think some type of tech school could be in his future, so what else would you recommend?
  6. I have mixed feelings about trampolines. We had one until my 5yr. at the time ds broke his leg. He was jumping with a teenage cousin and he bounced him to high, so when he came down the doctor said it was like jumping off a 5 story building. We sold our trampoline shortly after. However, he has jumped on them since with supervision. They are excellent energy burners but there are some serious risks.
  7. My dd is almost 10 months and I can understand some of your feelings. I'm not sure when I will stop nursing but she is working on cutting 4 teeth right now, so I can understand some of your pain. :001_smile:
  8. Hi Everyone!! I'm new here but have visited here for a couple of years. I know you guys to be willing to pray for peoples needs so I thought I would come to you. My little brother and his wife had their third child yesterday, a precious baby girl. He called me yesterday to tell me they believe she has Downs Syndrome and also has a major heart defect. If she survives 4-5 months they believe they can fix her heart. I'm a believer and believe in the power of prayer. He called me yesterday just crying, all I could do was cry with him. Sometimes it is just so hard... I was wondering if you guys could just pray for them, I can't be with them as I don't live close to them, but if you could just pray for them and their baby girl. I believe they are both blaming themselves and just really heartbroken. Thank you so much.
