You just fueled my fear of parking garages to new heights.
I will not park in them(12 passenger van) and am clutching the armrest when dh does, although he has no fear at all.

:iagree: I feel far more comfortable "talking" online than I ever do in face to face social situations, and I avoid calling people like the plague.

That's great! I would be floored too.:001_smile:

DH works until 10, gets home around 11. We obviously eat without him and try to have breakfast be our big family meal. In your situation I would maybe eat dinner alone and try for special family dessert time? Or as MamaAkins said...enjoy the times he is home and plan on your own system the rest of the time.

It seems a little scary to me how addictive this place is! I am really glad that it is back up.

She is beautiful. :001_smile: I really like the color combo on the playsilk, too.

Usually hot lunches here. It is alot easier to make one pot of something than it is to make umpteen sandwiches! We do tortilla roll ups two or three days per week though.

DS(11) has a 1.5 inch discrepancy due to a severe femur break. His orthopedic surgeon measured it, the physical therapists were supposed to help but they just said to get inserts for his shoes forever. He hates the inserts and has overcompensated since getting out of the body cast. Back to the ortho. He said that it is possible that when he is 16 or so that his body will do a major growth spurt and it may lessen. Other than that he feels that Christian will limp, that is just how it is. We are looking at chiropractic care just to make sure the overcompensation doesn't cause further problems.
Sorry so long, I hope you are able to get a good ortho and that you have cohesive care from any other practitioners.

Just more :grouphug: from me as well. I have had to become much more structured than I ever wanted to be, but the payoff keeps me scheduling.

My mother was my best friend. She passed away in 2002 of lung cancer, at far too young an age. The only good to come of that is that my sister and I are closer because of her death.

The only people who would be posting pictures of my children would be people I have as friends. Any of them would take down pictures if I asked, though I wouldn't as I do not mind pictures being up. I would only post pictures of other people's children if my kids were in the picture , and would take them down upon request, even though my setting is friends only. Homeschool group functions that post pictures have given me a chance to see my kids in a light I may not have photographed myself, so I am always thrilled when they are tagged!:)

Usually I toss them. DH is compulsive about saving them, and really cares that they stay pristine lol.

You inspired me to post too. So hi  . I lurked for a long time too.

Hi, just an introduction from me as well. :) My name is Wendy, I live just north of Tulsa. I have 7 little ones, we have homeschooled for 7 years now. We overhauled our curriculum last year and because of Story of the World I found the hive. I have lurked for many months now, time to start posting lol.
I am reading the Tulsa groups info with interest...I don't know yet what we will do for a support group right now.
Hi Heather, good to see you here :) .
