We have a ball python and a red tail boa. They are wonderful pets(although not my choice I have come to like them)! Cage care is very easy(Copper, our ball python is an escape artist though. By artist I mean this snake gets out of seemingly impossible set ups!). Zelda eats dead and Copper will only eat live. We breed our own food. That has turned out to be quite an amazing process! There is a lot of genetics learned by seeing something as simple as what color patterns emerge in what generation, which rats have the bigger babies or larger litters, etc.
If I were starting again I definitely would have gone with corn or milk snakes and would definitely recommend them as the perfect starter snake! :)

We are definitely getting a lot of school done. I love the snow, too.
I do hope the state is learning how to handle this better. It is a lot better than the ice storm for sure, but I still can't give a passing grade. We have snow chains so we have been able to be out and about. The roads are terrible and cars are wrecked everywhere.

I made this for breakfast and it is as good as it looks!(Even with my not gourmet chocolate chips).

He is beautiful. We have two, and they truly are escape artists, no matter how escape proof the enclosure.Still worth it though. :)

I use my apron. I had the sticking towel issue, but my apron has never stuck.

I would like to be involved. :001_smile:

Another 12 passenger Chevy Express. I love it. We had a 15 passenger before this and I loved it even better because I could take a row out for fun, but there is plenty of room in the back still.

I was 16 and he was 21. We got married at 18 and 23. First baby at 20 and 24(almost 25). It probably wasn't ideal to my family, but I am so glad things happened the way they did.

He is 5 years older.:001_smile:

Boy or girl, that sounds like a wonderful gift! If someone didn't like it that is their loss.

We are at home schoolers as well. There was a time when we had activities every single day...it wore us all down quickly. I am very relieved and the kids are much happier being scaled back to almost nothing(church and 1 day per week hs group).

I Love my church for so many reasons. We are blessed to have a pastor who is a natural born teacher. He digs deep and teaches expecting that we want the same. Our music pastor keeps things modern and still appeases the older crowd. Families worship together, with a service for children led by the sweetest lady I have ever met. There is always fellowship throughout the week. They accept DH and I despite our appearances and know we are Lovers of Christ. Despite some nastiness everyone is pulling together and trying to salvage a torn relationship. Missions trips, community outreach. It is a church of action and learning. I really could go on and on...they have become my family!

I see you, and am glad I do because I love your avatar. :)

Yes, I care. I don't think it is bad to care. There is a big difference between caring and offering advice, information, etc., if asked and confronting someone. If a mother said something along the lines of "Oh, I wish my dc would eat that" if they saw my dc eating broccoli, I might offer a few suggestions. But I wouldn't bring it up myself. Some parents honestly don't know how to begin to change their diet and want advice. I certainly wouldn't just walk up to some lady at the park feeding her kids fast food and go off on her. :) And I wouldn't even bring it up to a friend unless she wanted advice.
:iagree:

I am going to try this. Sounds fun!

I have a church breakfast to attend in the morning and have decided to make this. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi there. I have 7 DC. We have always homeschooled, though I don't recall ever making a formal decision to. I do a one room schoolhouse style. We are somewhat new homesteaders(6 years) and have alot of animals to occupy the time we don't really have left over lol.
I love reading on this board, though I don't post as often as I would like/should.

I will not fly with these measures in place. At all.

I love the name Cedar, and think both Owen and Monroe sound great with it.

I put every two hours, no formula. They would(still do) nurse for 10-20 minutes and be good for 2+. As others have said growth spurts were more frequently.I nurse on demand. I don't have any friends to compare this too...none of them nursed past one month.(One did, but she moved and I don't know her schedule :P ).
As a rabbit trail...I hated the nurse in the hospital(first four babies) coming in and asking how long they nursed for and then saying it wasn't long enough. My babies never lost weight after birth, literally gained from day one. They were all fat babies by one month...like quadruple chin fat. Yet the charts said they had to nurse both sides for x amount of time, and even if my way was working they would tell me to do it differently. I don't think breastfeeding is an exact science.

We have a top bar hive with observation windows and have absolutely been enthralled and love it! There are a ton of youtube videos to watch that have helped me learn faster, but one book we have that I found very helpful was ABC and XYZ of Bee Culture. It reads like an encyclopedia and the pics are black and white and grainy :P but I like it anyhow.
Good luck, we really enjoy the bees!
