  1. Thanks for the welcome, Kareni. I'm surprised no one has mentioned (or tried?) this provider. I had requested a catalog from them and this is what they say about high school diploma for home-educated students: Home-educated students may earn a high school diploma by meeting the ND CDE requirement of 22 units for credit for high school graduation. To receive credit for courses completed through home education, the student's parent or legal guardian must provide ND CDE with the following documentation: - a written description or outline of the course material covered in each high school subject. - a written description or list of course objectives; - a written description on how the course objectives were met; and - a transcript of the student's performance in grades 9-12. If any of the four items of required documentation are unavailable, ND CDE may evaluate whether other reasonable proof is acceptable for the student to meet applicable requirements for high school graduation. This option is available only to students planning to graduate from ND CDE. There is a fee of $35 per one-semester course evaluated. Home-educated students desiring to graduate from ND CDE must complete a minimum of one unit of credit (two, one-semester courses) from ND CDE regardless of the number of credits earned through the home-education evaluation process discussed previously. --- I hope there is no typo mistake on my part and I think anyone interested should be able to find this info on their website https://www.ndcde.org/Home.aspx Anyway, I especially like their 1 unit completion requirement to graduate from them and that they are accredited. But sure wish someone could tell me whether there is a catch though. Joan
  2. I was lurking at KNHS-Homeschool yahoo group for a while and read so much negative things about it that I'm seriously considering alternatives. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KNHS-Homeschool/ Joan
  3. I'm new on this forum and will be homeschooling this fall for the 9th grade. Does anyone have any experience with North Dakota Center for Distance Education? Any problems with getting their diploma issued to you after completing their required courses. Thanks. Joan
