We've been in Killeen since July '07. We're military, and came here from OK, CA before that, GA before that, Germany before that, and Florida is home, lol.
hey, i'm in Killeen too

Nan, that is so cool, i've been thinking of getting Artistic pursuits for my DD because she's the artist in the family, but I can see the benefits of it for my two boys as well. Thanks again
-
Nan as usual you amaze me, I had read your post last year about how you use TWEM, I didn't get to try it then because we were using TOG. This year since we can't afford TOG and I have to use something else anyway, I think i'll give it a try and see if we like it. Thanks for the reminder

I have heard that it doesn't matter, I think that most do Geometry next for SAT purposes.
-
I have not done this, but i'm thinking of trying it this year, just wanted to bump you up so that someone with experience will see it and help us out.

Heather I will continue to pray

I should copy Robin's post and put it on my bedpost to read every morning.
Thanks for this thread, Nan. I'm planning for next year, our last year, and I've just come to terms with "practical wisdom". Now...when I'm almost done.
Me too, Nan you never cease to amaze me with your wisdom, just when i'm feeling like quiting, I come here and you refresh me. Thank you.:grouphug:

if anyone has made any. Thanks

we've used it and loved it here too. Jean, I have volume 1 if you'd like to borrow it. It looks well loved.
-
Lori, that's great to know. I'm in TX too by the way.

Hi Donna, I have not used AO, but i'm planning to use it next year. I will be using Years 11, 6, and 1 with my DC, I don't know how we're going to do it just yet, but i'm working on it and i'll let you know what I come up with, maybe we can tackle this together sort of bounce ideas off of each other.

I don't belong here because i'm planning to use TT for math and because we're behind in just about everything under the sun except our history and literature.
-
Rhonda, i'm giving you a big hug because that's all i'm able to do right now. I have no advice, I wish I did.

Well, you would definitly need the TWSS and you could use the SWI C with Andrew Pudewa teaching the lessons or you could get one of the themed lesson sets. I bought the TWSS, there are workshop CD's in your set that you could have your DS watch and see if he'd prefer to have the SWI. Join the email loop as well, those women are a wealth of knowledge and there are plans in the files section as well as at the IEW site. HTH

Hugs Janice, I hate teaching writing and most everything else these days, the only thing I actually enjoy teaching is history.
-
I don't know the answer to your question, but if you want to sell TT algebra please pm me or email me at desi19 at hotmail.com. I don't mind waiting until you're done. Thanks

I think it's due out in 2009

try http://www.donnayoung.org, know she has tons of lesson plans and I think I remember seeing one using Streams as the spine and adding in supplemental readings. HTH

I think you will get a bit more explanation in the redesign yr.3

Ok, I need to reread the "how to" section and then i'll be good to go. When would discuss?
-
Hi, i'm interested. How many books would we read? Where would we start? When would we discuss and How? Thanks
-
Wow, Stacy it seems that we're on the same track homeschooling wise this year. Will you let me know what you find out about this program. Thanks
